Dylan Kojimoto
Research Associate II
Dylan is a Research Associate for the One Water Solutions Institute at Colorado State University (CSU). He began his professional career managing renewable energy generation and consumption data which was leveraged into maps and GIS tools. Afterwards, he helped the public expand access to consumer recycling facilities through California’s CRV and pilot project programs, as both an analyst and developer. Using these experiences in GIS, web-development, and program analysis, he became the lead GIS architect and developer for California’s Department of Toxic Substances Control. In this role, he saw the expansion of the departments GIS infrastructure, deployed multiple applications for wildfire response, office-hoteling, environmental impact reporting, and data analysis, while training staff and coordinating with federal and state agencies. Now, he is helping spearhead OWSI’s GIS .NET development.
