Matthew Korsa

Research Associate II

Matthew is a web application developer with One Water Solutions Institute (OWSI) at Colorado State University. Since joining the team in 2020, he has worked on flagship projects including the Flood Potential Portal, the Riverine Environmental Flow Decision Support System, and continued support for the eRAMS platform. He is the lead developer on multiple active projects and assists development for several others. Matthew worked for the USDA developing a microbial analysis tool called ‘myPhyloDB while studying at CSU and brings a decade of programming experience to the team.

Research Interests

Matthew first learned programming to make his own video games, but has since found it more meaningful to work on projects related to real-world science.

Matthew’s interests focus on building data storage and visualization systems, primarily through our Catena web architecture. This includes web GIS interfaces, animated graphs, and database design. He also enjoys roller skating and board games in his free time.
